Open positions
We are always interested in hearing from motivated applicants in the fields of biochemistry, structural biology, and mechanistic RNA biology.
If you are interested in conducting master’s/internship research in our lab, we prefer a duration of at least 9 months.
There is one central program for PhD students at ISTA. Applications are processed once per year (January). To find out more, please visit the graduate school website.
We are currently recruiting two postdocs. To apply, please send a cover letter (can be the email text), a CV, and have your PhD supervisor (or current postdoc supervisor) send a letter of recommendation directly by email.
Open position 1: We are currently recruiting a postdoc to work on biochemical and structural analysis of a chromatin-modifying complex, with funding available for 2 years (position can be extended if applicant obtains their own fellowship). Requirements: prior experience in solving structures using cryo-EM SPA, with experience in the field of chromatin preferred.
Open position 2: We are currently recruiting a postdoc to join an EIC Pathfinder project (funding available for 2.5 years) aimed at developing a technology to map virus-host interactions (e.g. from environmental samples or microbiome samples): https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101186013. The project will involve development, preparation, and testing of enzymes critical to the technology. Requirements: strong background in biochemistry and protein purification, and experience with ribosome biology.
